I find it very ironic that Comodo founder/CEO Melil is commenting on this article on the Comodo forums (this thread http://forums.comodo.com/ssl-certificate/comodo-providing-ssl-certificates-to-online-spammers-t58484.0.html). The reason I find it ironic is because Comodo is one of the biggest spammers out there. I was deluged with 31 spam emails advertising their positiveSSL certificates this weekend, and this wasn't the first time I've been mass spammed by Comodo. I've also received numerous unsolicited telemarkewting calls from them (and I'm on the Do Not Call list so these calls are illegal).
I have never bought any of their products or registered my email addresses to receive info on any of their products so the 31 emails I received from Comodo this weekend were definitely spam and in violation of the CAN-SPAM act. Do aa search and you'll find numerous other complaints from webmaster's about Comodo's spamming/telemarketing practices.
